This event is sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesley.edu\/provost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Office of the Provost<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesley.edu\/provost\/center-for-teaching-learning-and-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Teaching, Learning and Scholarship<\/a>, and organized by eLearning and Instructional Support.<\/p>\n<p>All faculty \u2014\u00a0<strong>core or adjunct<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 are welcome to apply. \u00a0Faculty who consider themselves\u00a0<strong>basic technology users<\/strong>\u00a0or who do not currently use technology in their teaching\u00a0are\u00a0<strong>especially encouraged to apply<\/strong>.\u00a0Faculty selected through the application process receive a $500 stipend for\u00a0participation in the institute. Applications are prioritized to select faculty who have not participated in past institutes, depending on demand.<\/p>\n<p>The program features a 4-day\u00a0institute in June, held at University Hall.\u00a0Faculty engage in a rich mix of dialogue, hands-on practice, project-based learning, reflection, and application to explore innovative ways technology can be integrated into their teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of workshops from past\u00a0Summer Tech Institutes include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Putting Technology in Its Place<\/li>\n<li>Designing Lessons for Engagement<\/li>\n<li>OneDrive: Collaboration Made Easy<\/li>\n<li>The Student Experience in Online Learning (panel)<\/li>\n<li>Designing and Facilitating Online\u00a0Discussions<\/li>\n<li>Introducing Media Into Your Blackboard Course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Expectations for Summer Academic Technology Institute Participants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faculty are expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in all four days (~9am to 4 pm) of the institute: June 4-7, 2018<\/li>\n<li>Develop a technology-enhanced learning activity for a 2018-2019 course<\/li>\n<li>Attend or participate in at least one professional development outreach activity\u00a0during the 2017-18 school year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"438\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>March 30, 2018<\/td>\n<td>Applications Due<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>April 20, 2018<\/td>\n<td>Participants Announced<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>June 4-7, 2018<\/td>\n<td>Summer Institute<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nApplication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coming Soon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join your Lesley faculty\u00a0colleagues for an exciting, immersive professional development opportunity!
