We believe it may be a new GITS (Gremlins in the System) plot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agent L:<\/strong> GITS? Are you sure? What exactly is happening?<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/agentL_bust.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2328\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/agentL_bust.png\" alt=\"agent L\" width=\"98\" height=\"110\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben:<\/strong> Faculty copy their content from MS Word and paste it into myLesley. Then they can\u2019t change the formatting. If they try to change the font or size, nothing happens. It must be GITS trying to sabotage their work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agent L:<\/strong> Ben, I don\u2019t think this is GITS. It\u2019s just a mismatch between Word and myLesley. Word creates text that is meant to be printed out while myLesley creates text meant to be viewed on the web. We just need to translate that copied text for myLesley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben:<\/strong> How do we do that?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agent L:<\/strong> Easy. Just clear the formatting. Select the text you wish to reformat. Then click the Remove Formatting button at the end of the first row of the text editor tools.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/removeformatting.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/removeformatting.png\" alt=\"remove formatting tool\" width=\"624\" height=\"107\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/removeformatting.png 624w, https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/removeformatting-300x51.png 300w, https:\/\/www.lesleyelis.com\/elisblog\/files\/2015\/09\/removeformatting-500x86.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Agent L:<\/strong> Voila! myLesley will clear the troublesome Word formatting and you can now format your text as you wish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ben:<\/strong> That\u2019s brilliant! And so easy!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agent L:<\/strong> Think nothing of it. It\u2019s all in a day\u2019s work for an agent.<\/p>\n<p>Check back for Agent L\u2019s next exciting mission.
