We are super excited that you are planning to join us this <\/span>Saturday, November 2nd<\/b><\/span> at Lesley University\u2019s <\/span>Porter Square campus<\/span><\/span><\/a>. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The event will be held on the <\/span>3rd floor<\/b><\/span> of <\/span>University Hall<\/b><\/span> (commonly known as the Porter Exchange Building), which is located at <\/span>1815 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge<\/b><\/span> [<\/span>map<\/span><\/span><\/a>]. Signs will be posted directing you upstairs to the registration area on the third floor. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided. \u00a0<\/span>L<\/b><\/span>unch<\/b><\/span> will be on your own, <\/b><\/span>and we have created a <\/span>map of nearby restaurant options<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Registration and check-in will start at 8:30am followed by a kickoff at 9:15am. Then, we’ll move to the fun part: creating the agenda. During this time, we invite you to brainstorm the\u00a0topics and ideas that you would like to share, discuss, or explore throughout the day.\u00a0 There\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0four time blocks, and we hope it will be a\u00a0full day of learning, collaboration, and epiphanies. We love epiphanies.\u00a0Please remember to bring appropriate adapters if you are interested in sharing ideas via projected display! All attendees will\u00a0reconvene at 3pm for the Smackdown and raffle prizes. \u00a0For those who want to continue to connect with others, the <\/span>Tavern in the Square<\/span><\/span><\/a> has graciously offered a section of their restaurant for EdCamp Lesley attendees to unwind.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nThe <\/span>Porter Square MBTA Station<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a> is directly adjacent to University Hall<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> and is serviced by the <\/span>Red Line<\/span><\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>Fitchburg-North Station Commuter Rail Line<\/span><\/span><\/a>, and several bus lines. For our fellow bikers, there are plenty of bike racks both at the Porter Station and University Hall.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\nPlease be forewarned that due to Lesley’s urban location, <\/span>parking will be EXTREMELY limited<\/b><\/span>. While there are metered spaces along Massachusetts Avenue, most on-street parking is for Cambridge residents only and is strictly enforced. EdCamp Lesley will not be the only event in University Hall that day – there will be several hundred people in the building, so we strongly encourage you to come via public transportation. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\nIf driving is your only option, <\/span>limited<\/i><\/span> paid parking is available at the University Hall lot, but please allow extra time to find parking off campus if no spaces are left in the lot. We also suggest that you park at a T stop (e.g. <\/span>Alewife station<\/span><\/span><\/a>) and travel by public transportation to be worry-free.<\/span>
