There are many upcoming eLIS events scheduled for the snowy season at Lesley University. We hope you’ll be able to join us! Below are the details on two that occur in the next few weeks:
The next eLIS Brown Bag on iPads in Higher Education will occur on Tuesday, December 11th, from 12pm to 1pm, at University Hall in Room 3-091. Join us as guest hosts, Marilyn Geller and Linda Roscoe, detail the many iPad resources avaialbe via Sherrill Library as well as some exciting new e-book capabilities. Additionally, sign-up to be an app tester for a new app they are piloting on a trial basis in December!
Join us for a lunchtime conversation about the changing landscape of higher education and online learning on Friday, December 14th. MOOCs (massive open online courses) have become all the rage with EdX and Coursera popping up in daily conversations. What are MOOCs? How effective are they? What does all of this mean? How might MOOCs enhance online and/or residential learning at Lesley in terms of course design, implementation, and scholarly activities? Do we want to try it? Are we ready?
